FOLD is a studio for writing, editing and launching films and campaigns. This page explains what we keep, why we keep it and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to support@fold.ai.

Your account

You sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google and use them to identify you, show you to your teammates and send the invites you ask us to send. We never see your Google password.

Your work

Scripts, shot lists, storyboards, projects, images, campaigns, uploads and renders are stored in your workspace so you can reach them from any browser. Only people you invite to that workspace can see them, with the access you give them. We do not use your work to train AI models.

AI features

When you use an AI feature, such as generating an image, editing with a prompt, transcribing or dubbing, the prompt and the material it needs (for example the reference image or the audio) are sent to the AI provider that performs that task. They process it to return the result. We only send what the task needs.

Activity logs

To fix problems and keep workspaces secure, FOLD records how the studio is used: which screens are opened, which buttons and shortcuts are used, requests to our servers and errors. We never record what you type. A break of more than an hour starts a new session. Workspace owners and admins can see the logs for their workspace.

Deleting things

• Anything you delete goes to the Trash, where you can restore it for 7 days.
• It is then deleted for good after 10 days. Within those last 3 days, write to support@fold.ai and we can still bring it back.
• To delete your account and everything in workspaces you own, write to us from the email you sign in with.

Cookies and storage

FOLD uses a small number of cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your workspace and save settings such as the theme or a hidden top bar. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we share data with

We use trusted providers for hosting, storage, sign-in, email and AI processing, only to run FOLD. We do not sell your data.

Changes

While FOLD is in beta this page may change. We will update the date above and tell you in the app about anything important.
